I MISS SA!

Oh I rely miss South Africa! Especially All of our friends and family. Here I am sitting with a laptop on my double bed in my room I  sharewith Alanna. In Loveland Colorado. I will post later on my party and the rest of our last days in SA. Soon I will post pictures of our house.

My Party!

Wow! After tomorrow is my party! On the 20th of July I will be 12!!! We had to make my party early because of a delay which I will explain in my next post. My party is on the 11 of July!!! I am really excited! My party is a cake baking party! So all my friends will be divided in two teams. And bake and decarate the best cake they can come up with! Anri's sister Landi is the judge!  Then we will have a sleepover! It will be a lot of fun!

A few  days ago we went to our friend Anri's house. We had a awesome time there! We had a huge photo shoot of Anri's dog Sam and Scamper. They insisted that they had to take pictures of me. Sleepover!

Fathers Day!!!

Happy Fathers Day Everyone!
I hope you all had a wonderful fathers day!
We went to a farm resturant and had a fathers day special. Unfortunately it wasent that nice. But we still had a wonderful time with our grand parents!

Apple Crumble

I made some Apple Crumble this afternoon and here is the recipe if you would want to try it!

You will need for the filling: Eight apples, cinnamon, two handfuls of raisins.
And for the crumble: 230g butter, 350g flour, 175g sugar, 1 tsp baking powder.

Method:
Cut apples and put in dish. Put in raisins and sprinkle on cinnamon. Rub butter into dry ingredients with your finger tips. Cover apples, raisins and cinnamon completely with crumbs. Put in oven at 180 degrees for 30 min. Then switch oven off and let it brown inside the oven for another 30 min.

Serve with cream or icecream and enjoy!

Mischief

Mischief is my beautiful budgie, he is about two years old. He replaced my other budgie called Buddy who was sick and she died in 2009. I got her when I was eight. Mishchief is a beautiful bird and I love him very much! In the picture he is standing next to Jingles my older sister Kaelah's bird. (The green one is Jingles.) He is Mischief's best friend.

Scamper is my big sister Kaelah's Dog!
He is Timmy's brother, he is adored by all of our family and friends! I love him and he loves everyone!

Baking

I love baking! I baked a cake for my dad's birthday, and today I baked some brownies for our sleepover that I will post about next time.
Here is the recipe for brownies!

250g marg
2c sugar
3 heaped Tsps of cocoa
3 eggs
2 c flour
2tps vanillla

Method: Melt marg, take off heat, beat in eggs one at a time. Add cocoa,vanilla and flour. Bake at 190 celcius for 23 mins.
